This is a really busy week for us....
Randy is teaching/leading/organizing the Simple Living and
Practical Skills block of classes (they run this week and next
week). So far he has introduced the class to the 81 students who are
taking it, Laura has explained the scratch cooking requirements and
checked over the students assignments (they had to turn in a
"scratch" menu). Laura has been really popular this week as there
have been LOTS of questions :) These students all seem to really
enjoy these "hands on" classes.
Today the students had a GPS/ Compass class (with practice involved) and
they had a class on bread baking (everyone actually made a loaf of
bread and took it home to bake it.)
There are 34 different practical sessions like these over the next 2
weeks and Randy has to be on top of all of those and make sure all
the details are taken care of and everything is ready each day, etc.
Prayer:
Be praying for us as these 2 weeks can be pretty intense at times (but
lots of fun too) .
Pray for Laura's friendship with Kathy.
Praises:
We"re really thankful for how well the first few days of Simple Living is
going and how involved and engaged the students are with it.
Great visit here on our campus with friends (Jack and Carol Gulbransen)
from Washington.
Laura for all of us
